Our Goal
Our goal is to provide flexible pathways to train future teachers to teach Computer Science (CS). We aim to provide smooth transitions for transfer students and offer several types of certification to increase the number of qualified CS teachers in Nebraska.
Clear Pathways
Not every students' college journey is linear. Some students may choose to start at a community college and transfer to a university later on. CS FUTURES aims to ease that transition by designing comprehensive pathways between public community colleges and universities in Nebraska for future CS teachers by standardizing class offerings to maximize transfer credits.
Types of Certification
Business, Marketing, and IT Primary Certification
A primary certification for secondary education in business, marketing, and IT
IT Supplemental Certification
A supplemental certification in K-12 IT that must be completed along with a primary certification in some other subject
