Temperature
Temperatures were above normal in the majority of the region. The highest temperatures were greater than 15°F above normal in southwestern Wyoming. The lowest temperatures were 6°F to 9°F below normal in northcentral North Dakota.
Temperatures were above normal in most of the region, with the highest being 20°F to 25°F above normal in northcentral Kansas and southcentral Nebraska. The hottest temperature was 73°F in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, which is 14°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 10°F to 15°F below normal in a small part of northcentral North Dakota.
Temperatures in northcentral North Dakota and eastern Wyoming reached 6°F to 9°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 10°F in Grand Forks, North Dakota, which is 5°F below normal for the area. The highest temperatures were greater than 15°F above normal in scattered parts of western Wyoming and a small area in southeastern Wyoming.

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from less than 2 percent of normal in most of Colorado and Kansas, southern Nebraska, northcentral Wyoming, southwestern South Dakota, and northwestern North Dakota, to more than 800 percent of normal in a small part of eastern South Dakota. De Smet, South Dakota received 5.26 inches of precipitation with most falling on the 15th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions remained the same at 66 percent. In the region, Kansas experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 1 percent while the other states in the region experienced no change in D0 conditions.
