Temperature
Temperatures were above normal in the majority of the region. The highest temperatures were 15°F to 20°F above normal in southwestern Wyoming. The lowest temperatures were 5°F to 10°F below normal across northern North Dakota and the southeastern corner.
Temperatures in southwestern Wyoming and a small area in northwestern Kansas reached 20°F to 25°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 78°F in Pueblo, Colorado, which is 16°F above normal for the area, and Dodge City, Kansas, which is 17°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 5°F to 10°F below normal in southeastern Wyoming, and northeastern North Dakota.
Temperatures in northcentral and western North Dakota reached 10°F to 15°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 16°F in Grand Forks, North Dakota, which is normal for the area. The highest temperatures were 5°F to 10°F above normal in western and southeastern Wyoming, and scattered parts of central Colorado.

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from less than 5 percent of normal in almost all of Kansas, the majority of Colorado, central and southern Nebraska, southwestern and central Wyoming, scattered parts of western South Dakota, and southwestern and northern North Dakota, to more than 300 percent of normal in a small area in western South Dakota. The Tower Falls in Wyoming received 1.13 inches of precipitation with most falling on the 16th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 66 percent to 70 percent. In the region, Kansas experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 10 percent while North Dakota and Wyoming experienced no change in D0 conditions.
