Temperature 

Temperatures varied across the region with the western portion of the region reaching temperatures above normal and the northeastern portion reaching temperatures below normal. The highest temperatures were 20°F to 25°F above normal in central and western Wyoming. The lowest temperatures were 15°F to 20°F below normal in eastern North Dakota.  

Temperatures in central Wyoming and a small area in northwestern Colorado reached 20°F to 25°F above normal, with an area in central Wyoming reaching temperatures greater than 25°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 61°F in Pueblo, Colorado, which is 14°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 20°F to 25°F below normal in eastern North Dakota.  

Temperatures in central South Dakota reached 15°F to 20°F below normal. The coldest temperature was -6°F in Grand Forks, North Dakota, which is 11°F below normal for the area. The highest temperatures were greater than 25°F above normal in northwestern Wyoming.

Precipitation 

Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in the majority of Kansas and Colorado, southern and the panhandle of Nebraska, central and western Wyoming, and a small area in northwestern South Dakota to 800 percent of normal in southwestern North Dakota and northwestern South Dakota. The Lewis Lake Divide in Wyoming received 2.6 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 9th and 10th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 44 percent to 45 percent. In the region, Wyoming experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 4 percent while Colorado experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 1 percent.
