Temperature 

Temperatures were above normal in the majority of the region. The highest temperatures were greater than 15°F above normal in central Wyoming, central Nebraska, scattered parts of southeastern and western Kansas, and scattered parts of central, eastern, and northwestern Colorado. The lowest temperatures were 0°F to 3°F below normal in eastern North Dakota, the northeastern corner of Wyoming, and northcentral Colorado.  

The average maximum temperatures for the region were above normal for the majority of the states. Temperatures in central Nebraska, southern Kansas, and eastern Colorado reached 20°F to 25°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 68°F in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, which is 23°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 0°F to 5°F below normal in northcentral Colorado. 

The average minimum temperatures for the region were above normal for most of the states. Temperatures in eastern North Dakota reached 3°F to 6°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 0°F at Darwin Ranch near Bacon Ridge in Wyoming, which is 7°F above normal for the area. The highest temperatures were greater than 15°F above normal in central and northwestern Colorado, and scattered parts of central and western Wyoming.

Precipitation 

Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in southern and western Kansas, southcentral and eastern Colorado, southern and central Wyoming, western and the panhandle of Nebraska, southern, central, and western South Dakota, and scattered areas of southern North Dakota, to 800 percent of normal in northwestern Wyoming. Willow Creek in Wyoming received 2.7 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 26th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 49 percent to 52 percent. In the region, Nebraska experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 9 percent.
