Temperature
Temperatures were above normal for the majority of the region. The highest temperatures were greater than 25°F above normal in central Wyoming, northwestern Colorado, and southeastern Kansas. The lowest temperatures were 0°F to 5°F below normal in northwestern and a small area in eastern North Dakota.
Temperatures in southern and western Kansas, northwestern and eastern Colorado, central and the panhandle of Nebraska, central and southeastern Wyoming, and southern South Dakota reached greater than 25°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 73°F in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, which is 28°F above normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 0°F to 5°F below normal in northern and small area in eastern North Dakota.
Temperatures in northcentral and eastern North Dakota reached 0°F to 5°F below normal. The coldest temperature was 4°F in Williston, North Dakota, which is 1°F above normal for the area. The highest temperatures were greater than 25°F above normal in southeastern Kansas, northeastern Colorado, and southern and eastern Wyoming

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in most of Kansas, central and eastern Colorado, across Nebraska, across central and eastern Wyoming, central and southern South Dakota, and eastern, southern, and northwestern North Dakota to 800 percent of normal in northwestern Wyoming. Pahaska, Wyoming received 3.53 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 22nd. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions increased from 44 percent to 49 percent. In the region, South Dakota experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 16 percent.
