Temperature
Temperatures were below normal in the majority of the region. The highest temperatures were 6°F to 9°F above normal in western and northcentral Wyoming. The lowest temperatures were 12°F to 15°F below normal in northcentral and southeastern North Dakota, and northeastern South Dakota.
Temperatures were above normal in central and western Wyoming, and a small area in northcentral Colorado reaching 3°F to 6°F above normal. The hottest temperature was 45°F in Goodland, Kansas, which is 1°F below normal for the area. The lowest temperatures were 12°F to 15°F below normal in southcentral North Dakota, and northcentral and eastern South Dakota.
Temperatures in western and northcentral Wyoming reached 9°F to 12°F above normal. The lowest temperatures were greater than 15°F below normal in southeastern North Dakota, and northeastern South Dakota. The coldest temperature was -7°F in Aberdeen, South Dakota, which is 19°F below normal for the area.

Precipitation
Precipitation amounts varied in the region, ranging from 2 percent of normal in southern Kansas and scattered parts of central and northern Kansas, northern and central Nebraska, scattered parts of Wyoming, southern and northcentral South Dakota, and scattered parts of North Dakota to 800 percent of normal in western Kansas, eastern Colorado, and central North Dakota. Old Battle, Wyoming received 2.5 inches of precipitation; most of it fell on the 5th. Drought continues in the region. D0 (abnormally dry) conditions remained the same as the previous week. In the region, Colorado experienced the highest increase in D0 conditions by 2 percent while Wyoming experienced the highest decrease in D0 conditions by 2 percent.
